There are a few theories going around about why Britney Spears’ latest music video, “Make Me,” has not been released in its original form. In fact, it is not going to be released, and they are planning to reshoot it.
Larry Rudolph, Britney’s longtime manager, has recently revealed the reason for shooting a new version of this video for the lead single from her ninth studio album, Glory. In the earlier footage. He tells US Weekly, “It’s really simple. The video just didn’t work. This is the first time we’ve reshot a video, and because it’s Britney there are all kinds of conspiracies. Nobody is hiding anything.”
The official video was released on August 5, after many delays. The video includes Britney dancing around and getting cozy with many shirtless, hard bodied men. Britney’s physique has been admired since she first appeared onto the pop scene in 1998, but since the birth of her two sons, she has made an effort to keep up her sensual image while also setting an appropriate example for Sean and Jayden.
This is not the first time Britney has made alterations. In 2013, she removed multiple scenes from her “Work Bitch” video because she thought they were too sexual in nature. Rudolph released a statement to TMZ in response to that saying that she is never forced to film anything that she is not comfortable with.
