Lady Gaga had previously been part of this event when she sang the National Anthem in Santa Clara, California earlier this year. However, on that occasion, it was Coldplay, Beyoncé and Bruno Mars who headlined the Super Bowl halftime show, giving the attendees and fans all over the world a good show. The show wasn’t as well received by critics, surprisingly enough, as it received fairly mediocre scores compared to past halftime events.
The singer confirmed the news on Twitter, writing:
“It’s not an illusion. The rumors are true. This year the SUPER BOWL goes GAGA!”
