Another couple has jumped on the break-up train, as actors Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber have recently confirmed this past Monday, after just appearing together at the Toronto Festival, that they are separating after 11 years together.
The actors told People Magazine about the whole ordeal, saying: “Over the past few months we’ve come to the conclusion that the best way forward for us as a family is to separate as a couple.” It seems that the couple has jointly agreed that breaking up is the best course of action for both them and their children. The couple continued: “It is with great love, respect, and friendship in our hearts that we look forward to raising our children together and exploring this new phase of our relationship. While we appreciate your curiosity and support, we ask the press to be mindful of our children and respect their right to privacy.”
The couple first met in 2005 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual costume gala, sharing a desire for one another —although never sharing the desire to marry. Over their decade-old relationship, they had two children, Alexander Sasha, 8, and Samuel Kai, 7; both children seem to be the main reason this break-up of theirs has gone without major conflict.
